From 2014–2022, STEAM Works Studio operated with a mission to spark creativity and bolster a deep interest in science, math, and arts in children and young adults through hands-on practical learning by “Making.” The academy is focused on fostering and developing 21st century and STEAM skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration in a hands-on and practical but fun learning environment, and it states that “Making” can transform the way people learn from preschoolers through retirees. The program features an expertly designed creative and fun curriculum with 20 courses, creates a personalized student STEAM roadmap, maintains a sharable student portfolio of projects and subjects learned, and uses a fun award system and real-world practical problems. STEAM Works Studio keeps class sizes small, has hands-on tech-savvy and fun-loving teachers, and serves as a launch pad for competitions by preparing and challenging participants to take part in various competitions and exhibitions.
