Owner Suzanne is the onsite owner of The Goddard School of Toms River 1 and has a bachelor’s degree from Kean University with a double major in Psychology and Education, and she worked eight years for the Division of Youth & Family Protection investigating child abuse and neglect. She has volunteered as a soccer coach for 10 years and volunteers as a Cub Master for the Pack 6 Cub Scout group, and she spends much of her spare time with children and the community.
The program’s mission statement is that at The Goddard School of Toms River, the start of a child's journey matters, and it offers an expert curriculum, experienced teachers and a nurturing environment to provide the foundation for their growth. The Goddard School of Toms River is NAEYC accredited from August 2018 through August 2028, has a Grow NJ Kids Level 4 rating, and received the Circle of Excellence Award from May 2023 to May 2024.
Parents describe the building as clean, with personable teachers and staff, and say the children are well cared for.
