Capital Area YMCA Youth Programs and Camps offers a range of options including YMCA Summer Camp, Small Camp Adventures, Summer Camp Adventures, and YMCA Camp Rider. The program also includes DanceSense Dance Camp and DanceSense Dance Camp Intensive, as well as martial arts, STEM activities, and aquatics. Youth can take part in Community Dance Academy classes in styles such as Jazz, Hip Hop, African, Tap, Modern, Ballet, and Contemporary, and there is an Award Winning Competition Dance Team.

The Capital Area YMCA provides youth and childcare services such as after-school care onsite at the Capital Area YMCA, at Hedgepeth Williams Intermediate School Trenton, and at five Lawrenceville elementary schools, along with free preschool in four classrooms with before-care and after-care onsite in partnership with Trenton Public Schools. The organization also offers programs for senior citizens, including SilverSneakers® and the Y5K26. The Community Dance Academy brings the community together with artistic expression through dance, and the Capital Area Y and Sisters Helping Others host a Community Food Pantry every 2nd Wednesday of the month and every Friday for individuals in the community. Founded in 1856, the Capital Area YMCA describes itself as the Capital City’s one stop wellness shop and has been a cornerstone of the Greater Trenton community, with the historically significant Trenton YMCA serving as the site of the first professional basketball game played in the United States.
