About
PGA Junior Golf Camps at Eagle Valley Golf Course offers hands-on golf instruction that covers full swing, short game, rules and etiquette, posture, grip, putting, chipping, pitching, course management, and shot selection. Campers take part in games and activities along with the golf instruction. The program uses the PGA Camp’s Skill Progression Cycle, a patented system that builds upon previous days’ teachings, and follows a signature PGA camp curriculum.
• Ages: 7–16 years old
• Schedule: Half Day and Full Day camp options in four-day sessions from June 22–25 and July 6–9, with Half Day Camps running 9:00am–12:00pm and Full Day Camps running 9:00am–3:00pm
• Price: June 22–25 Half Day Camp 9:00am–12:00pm (7–12 yrs) $250; June 22–25 Full Day Camp 9:00am–3:00pm (10–16 yrs) $450; July 6–9 Half Day Camp 9:00am–12:00pm (7–12 yrs) $250; July 6–9 Full Day Camp 9:00am–3:00pm (10–16 yrs) $450; camp price does not include a non-refundable, annual registration fee
Camps include hands-on instruction led by certified PGA of America Golf Professionals and/or LPGA Teaching Professionals, and every junior golf camp instructor has been trained and tested in all aspects of the game by the PGA of America. All PGA Camps are directed by Certified PGA of America Professionals who have been certified in junior-specific instruction, techniques, and strategies. Jason France serves as Camp Director, and David Gebhardt, a PGA professional who has been teaching golf for over 25 years, is Camp Co-Director; David has been at Eagle Valley Golf Course since 2007 as the Head Golf Professional and has served as the Director of Instruction since 2010. Camps are taught and directed by PGA of America Professionals, and the program maintains a low student to instructor ratio of approximately 6:1, with participants segmented into smaller groups based on experience, ability level, and age. Half Day Camps are designed for beginner to intermediate level golfers, while Full Day Camps are designed for intermediate to advanced junior golfers, and lunch is provided for Modified Full Day Camps and Full Day Camps. Rental equipment is available for an additional price that covers the necessary equipment required for participation in the program.
The mission of PGA Camps is to share a passion for the game of golf with youths across the country, with a stated promise to support, encourage, and respect each camper and to authentically inspire them to reach their full potential both on and off the golf course. PGA Camps is described as a golf enrichment program designed exclusively for the development of the junior golfer.
