Gary Grate Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy offers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Gi and No-Gi Submission Grappling/Ground Fighting), wrestling, judo, Muay-Thai, MMA, and a kids anti-bully system/self-defense program. The listed classes are for all levels and ages 4 and up, and the program includes certified, professional instruction.

About the provider
Gary Grate is the local Reno owner and head instructor. He is Northern Nevada’s first Gracie/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and the highest-ranking 5th Degree black belt owner and instructor. The academy was established in 1999 and has served Northern Nevada since 1999. It has produced over 50 certified Gracie/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belts over the last 27 years and has won Best of Northern Nevada 14 years running, plus Business Hall of Fame and Best Local Business for Martial Arts 15 years in a row.
