West Coast Martial Arts Reno offers the Ninja Turtle program for ages 3-7 with camo-belts and a modified curriculum. It also offers Kids Martial Arts Classes for ages 8 and up with the main belt system and regular curriculum, Family Martial Arts Classes for parents, children ages 8 and up, and siblings, Adult Martial Arts Classes, Close Quarters Combat on Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 pm, Kenpo Classes on Mondays from 7:00-9:00 pm, Fitness Classes, Seminars & Camps, Private Lessons, ZOOM classes, and Martial Arts on the Move classes.
Programs
- Ninja Turtle program — 3-7 years old · Special program for children. Uses camo-belts and a modified curriculum.
- Kids Martial Arts Classes — 8+ · Main belt system and regular curriculum.
- Adult Martial Arts Classes — For adults already involved in martial arts and adults looking to begin martial arts education.
- Family Martial Arts Classes — 8+ children with parents and siblings; all ages in family classes · Parents can train with their children ages 8+ and siblings can train together.
- Leadership Program - Black Belt Club Members — Black Belt Club members who have committed to reaching black belt can become members of the Leadership Team.
- Close Quarters Combat — Tuesdays, 5:30-6:30 pm · Reality-based self-defense course. No experience is necessary. Free for students.
- Kenpo Classes — Mondays, 7:00-9:00 pm · Pre-registration is required.
- Fitness Classes — Varying degrees of fitness in an encouraging environment.
- Seminars & Camps — Various seminars and camps offered throughout the year.
- Private Lessons — Available on a case-by-case basis for an additional fee.
- ZOOM classes — Monday/Wednesday, Tuesday/Thursday, Fridays, Saturdays · Classes are offered online by Zoom.
- Martial Arts on the Move locations and schedules — Thursdays, 2:35-3:20 pm · Mt Rose Elementary School, 915 Lander St, Reno, NV 89509.

About the provider
KJN Denice Challender-Slater is the owner and master instructor of West Coast Martial Arts Reno. She has been training and teaching martial arts for over 30 years, and she opened Martial Arts on the Move, Inc. in 1997. She is a four-time Hall of Fame inductee and a 7th degree black belt in CQC and PGR Self-Protection System. The school participates in Safety Fairs, class visits, and special events around Reno.
All purchases are final. No refunds. Pre-registration is required for Kenpo classes. Teacher and parent approval is required before testing in the Kids program. Students in the adult program can train in Family classes or in CQC at no additional cost. Students can participate in Close Quarters Combat for free every Tuesday evening; non-students can drop in for $10. Black Belt Club members can join the Leadership Team.
