Goat on a Boat Puppet Theatre offers live puppet shows, creative workshops, and a Puppet Camp program. Puppet Camp includes a week of activities led by master puppeteer Liz Joyce.

Goat on a Boat was founded in Long Island’s East End in 2001. The program is led by master puppeteer Liz Joyce. Goat on a Boat Puppet Theater states that it is committed to inspiring creativity in young audiences through the art of puppetry, while also supporting emerging and established puppet artists by providing them with opportunities to share their work.
The organization describes community involvement that includes serving and collaborating with diverse audiences, artists, and community partners. Its Puppet Truck & Mobile Stage, created in 2022, transforms Goat on a Boat into an outdoor, traveling theater with a schedule of free shows in communities with fewer welcoming opportunities to access performing arts and puppetry. It reports partnering with local puppeteers as well as regional, national, and international puppet companies, collaborating with puppeteers of color, and offering free programming to racially and socioeconomically diverse families throughout the region.
