Challenger Sports describes itself as the leading soccer camps, programs and services provider in North America and as North America's most trusted soccer camp provider. Challenger Sports originated as a British-led soccer camp business in North America and remains in partnership with Challenger Teamwear. Challenger Sports states that it has positively impacted more than one million children globally since 1985 and has a comprehensive range of camps, programs and services. The mission of Challenger Sports remains to ignite the passion.

Challenger Sports completes 40 years of running soccer camps in 2025, with a history that includes the start of All American Indoor Sports in Lenexa, Kansas in 1985 and the formation of Challenger Sports in 1997. The history also notes expansion to a 10‑month Academy program in 2000, the formation of Challenger Teamwear in 2002, tournaments in Kansas City and the first soccer tour of Britain in 2003, and growth to over 100,000 campers by 2009 and 115,000 summer campers by 2013. Additional milestones include the purchase of SoccerPlus in 2011, the launch of a UK franchise division in 2013, growth to 13 regional offices in 2016, the rebranding of British Soccer Camps as International Camps in 2018, collaboration with TopYa in 2019, significant effects from Coronavirus in 2020, and a rebound in 2021 with 35,000 kids in International Soccer Camps. In 2023 Challenger Sports rebranded and formed a partnership with SPIRE Academy and LeagueApps, and 2025 marks the last year of leadership from first generation founders and senior managers.

The current leadership team consists of Daniel Miller, Grant Hall, Ben Beer, Lauren Wymore, Alex Green, Linda Shoare, Anthony Riley, and Rob Herringer. Challenger Sports is owned and operated by some of the most experienced soccer people in the country, and the majority of its staff work from remote locations across the US, the UK, and Canada. Challenger Sports Teams Up with Global Sports Experiences (GSE) to expand soccer opportunities for youth across the globe. Challenger Sports maintains a corporate hub presence in Kansas City.
