About
Children’s Academy at LIU Brooklyn offers courses in robotics, movie making, fashion design, comic book creation, language immersion, ballet, urban dance, and swimming. The program also includes a Sports Camp where children can work on athletic skills using the University’s NCAA D-1 facilities.
• Ages: 3–12 years old
Children’s Academy at LIU Brooklyn was designed to create an immersive, educational experience for youngsters between the ages of 3–12, with a focus on academics, athletics, and creativity. During the summer months, Children’s Academy operates a Summer Camp where youngsters from across Brooklyn participate, and Summer Camp courses include robotics, movie making, fashion design, comic book creation, language immersion, ballet, and urban dance. The program offers Saturday classes during the fall and spring semesters in swimming, robotics, fashion design, and languages, and it plans to host a Swim Academy in Spring 2026, with dates to be announced.
LIU Brooklyn faculty and coaches are employed to lead class instruction, and athletes, graduate, and undergraduate students are employed to serve as camp counselors. Children’s Academy Summer Camp is fully licensed by the New York City Department of Health.
