Town of Colonie Parks and Recreation Programs include activities such as the Summer Enrichment Program, Learn-To-Swim, cross-country skiing, a fishing contest, and concerts by the Town Band, Memorial Town Band, and Town Brass Choir. The programs also make use of facilities that include an Olympic size pool with diving area, a training pool, a splash pad, bath house, two pavilions, picnic facilities, tennis courts, playground equipment, nature trails, a covered bridge, and cross-country ski trails.

• Schedule: Pool and Splash Pad are scheduled to open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on May 23, 24, 25, May 30, 31 and June 6, 7, and June 13 through September 6, 2026 (weather permitting).

Town of Colonie Parks encompasses 850 acres of land for recreational use and includes facilities such as the Mohawk-Hudson Bikeway, Town Golf Course, 13 pocket parks, The Crossings of Colonie Park, Schuyler Flatts, Boght Baseball Complex, the South Colonie Sports Complex, and the North Colonie Soccer Complex. The Crossings of Colonie was awarded the 2018 Capital Region’s #1 Best Park. The Town of Colonie Parks and Recreation department has an online portal that can be used to enroll in activities, reserve rental spaces, obtain pool passes, and more. Town of Colonie Pool is resident restricted and requires residents to obtain a Resident FOB to enter the Colonie Town Pool for the 2026 season. Peter G. Crummey is the Colonie Town Supervisor and was sworn in as the 18th Supervisor of the Town of Colonie on January 1, 2022.
