Town of Colonie Parks and Recreation Programs include activities such as the Summer Enrichment Program, Learn-To-Swim, cross-country skiing, a fishing contest, and concerts by the Town Band, Memorial Town Band, and Town Brass Choir. The programs also make use of an Olympic size pool with a diving area, a training pool, a splash pad, bath house, two pavilions, picnic facilities, tennis courts, playground equipment, nature trails, a covered bridge, cross-country ski trails, walking paths, an orchard, bike trails, and a three-acre pond, as well as a scenic 36-hole golf course that hosts several leagues and over 50 golf outings and tournaments. Families can use the Online Parks Portal to enroll in activities, reserve rental spaces, obtain pool passes, and more, and a Resident FOB is required to enter the Colonie Town Pool for the 2025 season.
• Schedule: Pool and Splash Pad open daily 10:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on May 24, 25, 26, May 31 and June 1, 7, 8, and June 14 through September 1, 2025 (weather permitting); Parks and Recreation Main Office hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The Crossings of Colonie was awarded the 2018 Capital Region’s #1 Best Park. Peter G. Crummey, who was sworn in as the 18th Supervisor of the Town of Colonie on January 1, 2022, is the Colonie Town Supervisor. For pool use, swim diapers are required for the pool and for children who are not toilet trained on the Splash Pad, only US Coast Guard approved life jackets are allowed in the pool, no swimming aids are allowed, no glass containers are allowed inside the locker room or pool area, all food and drink must be kept in the concession area, and children who are not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper covered by rubber pants on the Splash Pad.
