Boys & Girls Club of East Aurora Youth Programs

Boys & Girls Club of East Aurora Youth Programs take place at the Boys & Girls Club of East Aurora, which is part of Boys & Girls Club of America, a national network of affiliated Clubs. The programs run on school days immediately following school dismissal until 6:00 pm and follow the East Aurora public school calendar for half days and holidays. On non-school days, hours are determined as they occur.

In 1939 the Club was founded by a concerned group of citizens spearheaded by Niles Barnum and Herm Fisher, the founder of Fisher Price. The Club’s mission at its founding was to provide a wholesome place for all youth to perfect their athletic abilities and develop the skills to become future good citizens. Today, the Club states that it remains a safe and fun place for kids to believe in themselves, succeed, and dream about their future.

The Boys & Girls Club of East Aurora is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, led by Board President Michael Wymer. Day-to-day operations are managed and led by Chief Executive Officer Gary Schutrum. BGCEA notes that youth services are critical and invites support through donations, the Heritage Club program for alumni and friends, and relationships with community partners referenced in its navigation.
