About

Children’s Camps at Tanglewood Nature Center & Museum take place at a not-for-profit nature center that includes an indoor museum and two trail systems. The program is part of Tanglewood’s educational offerings for children and is held at a site that maintains over ten miles of trails and houses more than 40 non-releasable, rehabilitated, or surrendered native and exotic animals in its exhibits. Tanglewood is always free to visit, and its indoor forest includes over 40 different species of animal ambassadors and taxidermy.

• Schedule: Museum hours Tuesday–Friday 9am–4pm and Saturday 10am–4pm, with trails open dawn to dusk year-round

For the last fifty years, Tanglewood Nature Center & Museum has described its experience as showing what a great community it has. The organization welcomes over 35,000 visitors a year, and every member is described as helping make Tanglewood a place to explore. Its mission is “to lead and support education and preservation efforts in our region to achieve a heightened awareness, understanding, and caring for our natural environment.” Tanglewood’s vision is to become a recognized leader in promoting respect and appreciation for the natural environment, and its annual appeal goal is $30,000.
