Southampton Youth Bureau Programs

Southampton Youth Bureau Programs include activities such as Open Mic Night with acoustic performers, bands, karaoke, spoken word, poetry, and comedic acts, as well as Chess Club and Youth Court. The programs also offer an After School Program at the Flanders Youth Center and an After School Program at Phillips Avenue School, along with trips, programs, and activities held locally and throughout the region after school and on weekends. Additional events include Dance with Project LEAP, the Battle of the Bands, Hamptons Got Talent auditions, and counseling and support services.

• Ages: 10–18 years old
• Schedule: Activities and youth centers are available after school, on weekends, and five days per week, with specific events such as Open Mic Night, Winter Break programs, Chess Club, Battle of the Bands, and Hamptons Got Talent auditions scheduled on set dates and times.
• Price: All activities during Winter Break at the Flanders Youth Center are FREE

The Youth Bureau’s mission is to provide positive youth development and early intervention services that support young people so that they achieve their potential at school, work, and beyond. The Youth Bureau is led by Tracy Kolsin, LCSW, who serves as Youth Bureau Director. Together with other town departments, schools, and community participants, the Youth Bureau involves teens in life, job, and social skills activities, counseling and support services, youth centers, trips and programs, and community roles through the Youth Board, Youth Court, and Youth Advisory Committee. The programs also include a partnership with Peconic Ballet Foundation for Dance with Project LEAP and a partnership with Westhampton VFW Post 5350 for the Hometown Heroes Banner Program.
