The Friends of the Glen Cove Youth Board is a 501(c)(3) organization formed to support and augment many of the programs offered by the Glen Cove Youth Bureau and offers scholarships to Glen Cove youth who demonstrate extraordinary service to their community. The Friends assist in providing back to school supplies to students who could not otherwise afford these essentials, and food baskets and Thanksgiving dinners are distributed to needy families in the community. The mission states that they strive to improve the lives of students through education of academic, behavioral, cognitive, and social skills.
