Círculo de la Hispanidad Youth Programs (After School, Summer Camp, and Sports Activities) include a partner after school program, a summer camp, and sports activities. The sports activities are offered in conjunction with the Long Beach Soccer Club. These programs take place at the Círculo Center in Hempstead.
Círculo de la Hispanidad, Inc. has been serving the community for over 40 years. The organization operates a state of the art community center that offers recreational programs for youth and cultural programs for the greater population. It provides over twenty programs in areas such as education, ESL classes, literacy programs, GED preparation and career services, domestic violence, housing, HIV/AIDS, and youth services. Círculo de la Hispanidad is a 501(c)(3) non-for-profit organization. Its mission states that, through advocacy, Círculo seeks to unify community voices with the goal of empowering the underserved and protecting human and civil rights for all. The leadership team includes Founder & Executive Director Gil Bernardino, M.S., and Chief Director of Services and Operations Sarah Brewster, Ph.D., J.D., L.M.S.W., along with directors and staff overseeing fiscal operations, youth development, housing, HIV programs, transportation, domestic violence services, and program assistance.
