About

YMCA of Long Island Summer Day Camp includes activities in Adventure, Aquatics, Creative Arts, Camp Traditions, Special Activities and Trips, and Summer Learning. The camp day runs from 9am to 4pm, with optional extended hours in the morning and afternoon. Families can also attend Camp Open House events that include tours and Q&A.

• Ages: 3–15 years old
• Schedule: Summer sessions run in 2026 from June 29 through August 21 in four sessions, with additional Camp Closeout options the week of August 24, 2026. Camp hours are 9am–4pm, with extended AM care from 7am–9am and PM care from 4pm–6pm.
• Price: PLUS 5-month payment plan. Pricing will be available during enrollment process.

The program offers a variety of camp types for ages 3–15, including Kiddie, Youth, Pre-Teen, Teen, Sports Camp, and a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) option. A 5-month payment plan is available for camp fees. YMCA of Long Island members have access to the YMCA 360 x Les Mills on-demand digital platform, and a new YMCA mobile app supports registration, class reservations, syncing with Apple Health, and receiving updates. Additional youth and family offerings connected to the organization include the Tween Takeover program for 3rd–6th graders on Fridays from 6:30–8:30pm, the Phones Down Eyes Up water safety initiative, the YMCA of Long Island 5K Series, a Y Guy Winter Coloring Book, and a Family Services branch that provides prevention and treatment counseling services that promote emotional wellness.

The YMCA notes that its diverse staff includes licensed social workers, licensed mental health counselors, credentialed alcohol and substance abuse counselors, a psychiatrist, a physician’s assistant, and other trained advocates. The YMCA states that it is a nonprofit organization dedicated to Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. The organization is marking the YMCA 175 Anniversary and invites families to celebrate 175 years of the YMCA. Its Community Education program offers visual displays, literature distribution, and a Speaker’s Bureau that provides speakers for schools, community agencies, church groups, and other interested community organizations.
