About
YMCA of Long Island Summer Day Camp includes activities in adventure, aquatics, creative arts, and camp traditions. Campers take part in theme days, summer learning, special activities and trips, in-house specials for the Kiddie Campers, and off-campus trips for Pre-Teens and Teens Campers.
• Ages: 3–15 years old
• Schedule: Operating hours 9am–4pm with AM care 7am–9am and PM care 4pm–6pm; multiple two-week sessions from June 29 through August 21, 2026, plus Camp Closeout options in late August
For 175 years, the YMCA has been keeping families, children, adults and communities safe in and around the water. The YMCA of Long Island is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. The YMCA of Long Island offers a variety of camps for ages 3–15, including Kiddie, Youth, Pre-Teen, Teen, Sports Camp, and Counselor-in-Training (CIT), with a three-month payment plan option. Camp Closeout for K–5th grade runs August 24–28, 2026, and is not available in East Hampton, and Huntington YMCA Camp Closeout Week runs August 24–27, 2026. There is a new Kiddie Camp three-day option at Great South Bay YMCA Summer Day Camp on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Camp Open House dates are offered with required registration. YMCA of Long Island provides financial assistance for those who may not be able to afford the full cost of programs and services. YMCA Family Services provides comprehensive prevention and treatment counseling services that promote the emotional wellness of individuals, families, and the community at large. The staff includes licensed social workers, licensed mental health counselors, credentialed alcohol and substance abuse counselors, a psychiatrist, a physician’s assistant, and other trained advocates. The YMCA of Long Island partners with school districts in Nassau and Suffolk counties to support student learning.
