School of Rock Mamaroneck offers performance-based music education that includes group rehearsals, private music lessons, and group music lessons. Students take part in activities such as learning to play classic rock songs, learning chords, rhythm, and song structure, and using hand percussion to learn rhythm patterns and music syntax. The program also includes live performances, songwriting, song arrangement, music theory, songwriting exercises, lyrical workshops, and recording original songs.

School of Rock Mamaroneck offers several distinct programs, including the Little Wing program for ages 4–5, the Rookies program for ages 6–7, the Rock 101 program for ages 8–13, the Performance Program for ages 8–18, the Songwriting program for ages 12 and over, and an Adult Program for ages 18 and up. In Little Wing, children use classic rock songs to learn rhythm, song structure, melody, and dynamics through play, while Rookies uses simplified rock instruments to teach kids to play music. The Songwriting program culminates with a live showcase where students perform their original compositions in bands at a local music venue, and online Songwriting Program students remotely record their original songs to produce a demo of the class's music. School of Rock Mamaroneck is celebrating 10 years rockin' the Sound Shore, and its mission statement describes building a community that fosters personal growth through performance-based music education that combines one-on-one instruction with group rehearsals. An independent study found that after joining its programs, 96.2% of parents saw a boost in their child’s self-confidence and 95.9% reported improved teamwork skills.
