New York State 4-H Camps

New York State 4-H Camps includes day and overnight camps across New York State. Camp activities listed include swimming, boating, creative arts, leadership, backpacking, fishing, archery, environmental education, outdoor living, crafts, sports, counselor-in-training, aquatics, beach waterfront activities, nature trails, sailing, canoeing, a pool, ponds, ropes courses, basketball courts, a working farm, an equine program, and a deck hockey court. Several camps also offer specialty camps such as 4-H Science Camps, and some programs are shortened overnight programs for younger campers.

About the provider

New York State 4-H camps are members of the American Camp Association (ACA). They are open to all young people, whether or not they are enrolled as 4-H members, and they serve campers from every county in the state. 4-H has been around for more than 100 years, Dorothy P. Flint (DPF) 4-H Camp was first established in 1924, and Hidden Valley 4-H Camp has been in Watkins Glen State Park since 1945.

Enrollment in 4-H Programs is done through each county's Cooperative Extension Office. There are day camps, overnight camps, and shortened overnight programs for younger campers. Several camps are ACA accredited.
