New York State 4-H Camps offers 4-H Camps for open to all young people. Activities mentioned include swimming, boating, creative arts, leadership, backpacking, fishing, archery, environmental education, outdoor living, crafts, sports, ropes courses, aquatics, canoeing, and sailing.

About the provider

New York State 4-H camps serve campers from every county in New York State and are open to all young people, whether or not they are enrolled as 4-H members. The program is led by NYS 4-H Camp Specialist Shawn Tiede, phone 585-343-3040 x127. New York State 4-H camps provide a positive learning environment where individuals experience belonging, build community, and deepen their appreciation for the natural world. They are members of the American Camp Association (ACA), and some camps are ACA Accredited.

There are day and overnight 4-H Camps throughout New York State. Camps offer traditional Resident Camp programs, Day Camps and shortened overnight programs for younger campers. In addition, several camps offer Specialty Camps such as 4-H Science Camps, or programs for unique audiences (Autism, At-Risk Youth, and more).
