Camp Venture is an integrated, seven-week, non-competitive outdoor program for Rockland County children with and without special needs. Children bring lunch from home during the program day.
• Schedule: Seven-week 2026 season from June 29 to August 14, closed July 3, with Monday–Friday hours from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and optional morning (8:30–10:00 AM) and afternoon (3:00–4:30 PM) programs; children can register weekly or for the entire season.
• Price: Junior and Senior Counselors pay rate: $1000/$1500 for the season (June 30 – August 15).
Venture Together’s founding program, Camp Venture, opened in 1969 as “a place in the sun for everyone” and was the first of its kind in New York State. Since 1969, Venture Together has provided the Rockland County, NY, community with support and services. The dedicated staff at Camp Venture includes professional educators, a full-time nurse, and young adults from the community who work as counselors after receiving intensive training. Venture Together is a nonprofit provider of support and services for people of all abilities, ages, and special needs. Its year-round Therapeutic Equestrian Center provides a myriad of benefits for people with special needs, improving strength and coordination while infusing a sense of empowerment and mastery. Founded by families for families, Venture Together’s mission is to nurture lifelong growth, opportunity, and joy for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
