About
Amazing Athletes introduces children to the fundamentals of 10 different sports through structured physical activities, exercises and drills, and gameplay. The program includes interactive lessons with over 70 different sports, activities, and fitness-based games, along with specific instruction in the fundamentals of martial arts and baseball. Children also spend time discovering and exploring 3 sports, learning about muscle groups and nutrition, and developing motor skills such as balancing, running, jumping, throwing, catching, and kicking.
• Ages: 18 months–12 years old
For over 20 years, Amazing Athletes has been partnering with schools and communities. The program’s mission is to inspire active futures for the next generation using inner strength and athletic abilities. It is described as an industry leading multi-sport enrichment program with a year-round curriculum, low kid-to-coach ratios, and multi-sport programs that use sport, fitness, and fun to develop key motor skills, promote teamwork, and inspire active futures. Programs are offered for toddlers through middle schoolers and focus on teaching the basics of sports, health, and nutrition as part of its community partnerships.
Amazing Athletes uses Muscle Zoo characters to teach children about muscles and Powers Family characters to teach about power foods and their “super powers.” The program focuses on developing six key motor skills: balancing, running, jumping, throwing, catching, and kicking. Chancy and Bruce, LLC endorses Amazing Athletes, and professional athlete ambassadors Trinity Rodman, Leylah Fernandez, and Danny Guise support the mission.
Parents and caregivers report that children in Amazing Athletes work on motor skills, learn about various fruits and vegetables, and practice hand and foot coordination while playing many different sports. One parent notes that a five-year-old in the program talks about what he has learned in both sports and nutrition. Program staff are described as going above and beyond to make kids feel confident and engaged during a free trial, with many options to keep children busy and focused. Multiple parents share that their toddlers and older children look forward to each session or season, and one parent credits Amazing Athletes with a child developing a love of sports. Another parent highlights that a specific coach, Coach Andy, consistently brings fun and active ideas to each class.
