About

Amazing Athletes Baseball is part of the Amazing Athletes multi-sport enrichment programs and teaches the FUNdamentals of baseball. The broader Amazing Athletes programs introduce the fundamentals of 10 different sports, including baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, football, hockey, golf, volleyball, track + field, and lacrosse, through sport, fitness, and fun. Across the full program lineup, kids also encounter martial arts, physical fitness challenges, interactive lessons, motor activities, and over 70 different sports, activities, and fitness-based games.

• Ages: 2–10 years old

For over 20 years, Amazing Athletes has been partnering with schools and communities, teaching kids the basics of sports, health, and nutrition. The mission of Amazing Athletes is to inspire active futures for the next generation, using inner strength and athletic abilities. The programs focus on each developmental milestone in motor skills through the introduction of sports, and they encourage daily motor activities while providing fun nutritional information through the Powers Team and the Powers Family, who share “power foods” and their “super powers.” Amazing Athletes uses a year-round curriculum, a low kid-to-coach ratio, and a discovery-based, game-based approach that includes a 3-sport format, exercises and drills, and gameplay, as well as a progression-based martial arts program supported by Muscle Zoo friends and Kardio Kangaroo.

Amazing Athletes highlights six key motor skills—balancing, running, jumping, throwing, catching, and kicking—and includes interactive elements that teach about muscle groups and nutrition. The organization notes that its professional athlete ambassadors support its mission, including Trinity Rodman (current USWNT forward, 2021 NWSL champion and rookie of the year, and former Amazing Athletes participant), Leylah Fernandez (ranked 13th in the world and 2021 US Open finalist), and Danny Guise (professional golfer who played his first golf tournament at age 9).

Parents describe their children learning about fruits and vegetables, hand and foot coordination, taking turns, following rules, and concepts related to both sports and nutrition. Several parents report that their toddlers and older children look forward to weekly sessions and seasons, and one parent credits Amazing Athletes with their child developing a love of sports. Parents also mention specific coaches, such as Coach Andy, and note that staff at a free trial went above and beyond to keep kids confident, engaged, busy, and focused.
