Next Evolution Martial Arts

Next Evolution Martial Arts offers kids martial arts lessons that include Kaizen Karate Do, Kioto Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Muay Thai Kickboxing. The program also offers after school martial arts, full-day Summer Camp, martial arts birthday parties with nerf wars and a bounce house, and ongoing karate and martial arts lessons.

Next Evolution Martial Arts has been providing martial arts instruction since 2005. Sensei Mike has been training martial arts all of his life and has the expertise. The program offers an after school program with pick-up service and programs for children as young as three. It is described as a traditional martial arts school with a modern approach and a family-oriented environment, and it is Spanish Harlem's first authentic Kioto Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy. The curriculum emphasizes encouragement, loyalty, and the cultivation of mental, physical, and spiritual strength, and the mission focuses on empowering individuals and families in Spanish Harlem, the Upper East Side, the Upper West Side, and surrounding New York City communities through Kioto Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kaizen Karate Do, and Muay Thai Kickboxing. Parents and students describe their experiences as including a family-like atmosphere, traditional values such as respect and integrity, and changes in confidence both in and out of the dojo.
