TADA! Youth Theater Summer Camps
15 W 28th Street, 2nd & 3rd Floors, New York, NY 10001
About
TADA! Youth Theater Summer Camps focus on musical theater, where students build and perform a brand-new mini-musical every week. Campers take part in activities like learning vocals and choreography to a show-stopping musical number from a popular Broadway musical or movie, learning the songs and dance moves to a Broadway favorite, and participating in a musical theater sample class. During each session, students write, rehearse, and perform their own mini-musical in just five days.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Jun 15–Sep 4, 2026; Monday–Friday, 9am–3:30pm, with after-care available until 5:15pm Monday–Thursday
TADA! Youth Theater Summer Camps take place at TADA! Youth Theater and are part of a Drama Desk award-winning nonprofit youth theater that offers onsite classes, camps, and workshops, plus in-school and after-school partnerships in all five boroughs. TADA! Youth Theater’s mission since 1984 has been to provide young people from different social, racial, economic, and cultural backgrounds with musical theater programs through high-quality productions, positive youth development, and education programs. The organization offers year-round musical theater classes, camps, and workshops for students of all ages and abilities, including financial assistance through its Arts for All program, and provides a free, year-round, pre-professional training and positive youth development program for members of the Resident Youth Ensemble of TADA! (RYET). Esteemed TADA! Ensemble alumni include Academy Award winner Jordan Peele, Kerry Washington, Josh Peck, and Mizuo Peck. As an antiracist and multicultural organization, TADA! values and amplifies the voices, imaginations, knowledge, cultures, and leadership of Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC), people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ young people.
One testimonial from a Magnet Resource Specialist at P.S. 254 describes partnering with TADA! Youth Theater for two years and notes changes observed in students during a skill-building residency. Another testimonial from a TADA! Ensemble Member describes joining because of the productions and continuing because of the friends made in the casts.
