About
Transformations is a summer program where students take part in interactive educator-led sessions and work on creative projects. The program takes place at the National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath).
• Ages: 6–15 years old
Students in grades 1–9 experience mathematics through interactive educator-led sessions and creative projects. The program is led by certified educators who have extensive experience successfully teaching students online and in the classroom. MoMath is led by CEO Cindy Lawrence. MoMath’s credentials and awards include being a finalist in the Arts & Culture category of the 2022 NYC Imagine Awards recognizing NYC’s most effective and innovative nonprofit organizations, receiving the Communications Award for Public Outreach from the Joint Policy Board for Mathematics in 2016, being named Most Fascinating Museum in New York State Worth Traveling For by FlipKey by TripAdvisor in 2015, being named Best Museum for Kids by New York Magazine in 2013, and receiving the MUSE Award for Education and Outreach (bronze) from the American Alliance of Museums in 2013.
