The Transformations Summer Program at MoMath offers students a summer experience that includes interactive educator-led sessions and creative projects. As part of this program, students in grades 1–9 explore the richness of mathematics through these activities.
• Ages: 6–15 years old
The National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath), which runs this program, has received several recognitions, including the Communications Award for Public Outreach from the Joint Policy Board for Mathematics in 2016 and a Best Museum for Kids designation from New York M. MoMath has also been named a finalist in the Arts & Culture category of the 2022 NYC Imagine Awards and has appeared on lists such as NYC’s 10 best offbeat and hidden museums from 6sqft in 2019. Additional media features have highlighted MoMath as a top date spot for intellectually curious people in NYC, and have covered its work connecting mathematics with topics such as finance and origami.
