Town of Islip Sports & Aquatics Programs includes activities such as beaches, pools, tennis, sports camps, and an open gym program. The program also offers swim classes, swimming instruction, and water safety instruction, as well as access to a rifle, pistol and archery range and the Northwell Health Run.

• Schedule: Brookwood Hall offices and divisions are open Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with office hours listed as Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:45 PM.
Swim classes are offered each summer and are geared toward young children and teens, with instruction in swimming and in skills to be safe in and around the water. The Town of Islip is the 3rd largest town in New York State, and its rifle range is one of the very few such facilities on Long Island. The Town’s rifle range is used for training individuals from law enforcement agencies including Nassau County Police, Sheriffs and DA, Fire Island National Seashore, Amtrak, DMV, Suffolk Courts, U.S. Treasury, Farmingdale Police Department and the NYS Park Police. The Town provides valuable services to over 300,000 residents, and the department is led by Commissioner Thomas Owens. The Town of Islip was incorporated in 1683 under English rule.
