PDS Summer Camp Program

Poughkeepsie Day School Summer Programs take place on the Poughkeepsie Day School campus and are connected to the school’s PreK through 8th grade program. The programs follow a curriculum that blends rigorous academics with inquiry-based learning, emphasizes cultural competence and global citizenship, and centers an anti-oppression pedagogy. The programs also strive to create a community of students and staff with broad racial and economic diversity and place equity, inclusion, and empowerment at their core.

Founded in 1934, Poughkeepsie Day School has a long history as an educational institution. The school is led by Head of School Spiro Gouras. Poughkeepsie Day School holds International Baccalaureate® Candidacy and maintains community partnerships as part of its broader work. The mission of Poughkeepsie Day School states that it creates transformative learning experiences that inspire intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, and compassion, and that it views education as a pathway to a more just society and sustainable planet.
