About
Poughkeepsie Day School Summer Programs take place on the Poughkeepsie Day School campus and are connected to the school’s PreK through 8th grade program. The programs follow a curriculum that blends rigorous academics with inquiry-based learning, emphasizes cultural competence and global citizenship, and centers an anti-oppression pedagogy. The programs also strive to create a community of students and staff with broad racial and economic diversity and place equity, inclusion, and empowerment at their core.
Founded in 1934, Poughkeepsie Day School has a long history as an educational institution. The school is led by Head of School Spiro Gouras. Poughkeepsie Day School holds International Baccalaureate® Candidacy and maintains community partnerships as part of its broader work.
