About

Summer Culinary is a cooking and culinary summer camp where teens take part in hands-on culinary classes focused on making, creating, and enjoying their own gourmet lunches and dinners. The program includes advanced knife skills, classic line cooking, pastry arts, flavor theory and flavor profiling, international cuisine, plating aesthetics, baking chemistry, seafood butchery, wood-fire cooking, farm-to-table sourcing, sourdough, Asian fusion, and hyper-seasonal cooking. Students work at individual prep stations with professional knives, cutting boards, mise en place bowls, and use professional-grade equipment, restaurant-quality ingredients, commercial-grade 6-burner gas ranges, a dedicated pastry kitchen, walk-in coolers and dry storage, and a dedicated finishing station with tools for plating and a photo backdrop.

• Ages: 12–17 years old

Summer Culinary is a cooking and culinary summer camp for teens and high school students that offers both sleepaway (residential) and day formats, with day camp and sleepaway options across four major U.S. host cities. The program operates out of top-tier professional commercial kitchens, with every campus kitchen purpose-built for the curriculum, including 20+ individual stations per kitchen, a dedicated pastry and baking lab at each campus, temperature-controlled storage with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and a plating and presentation studio with a photo backdrop so campers can document their creations. The curriculum mimics an elite commercial training environment where students learn commercial kitchen choreography, ingredient sourcing, and professional-grade culinary workflows, and the core curriculum and professional chef instruction are identical across all cooking camp locations.

Professional chefs and industry educators teach the students, and chef instructors meet every camper exactly where they are. The program is in its 19th summer, and its stated purpose is to create a safe space where students gain confidence, skills, and leadership. Curated evening tours and full supervision are included for sleepaway programs.
