About
Dorothy P. Flint 4-H Camp offers swimming and other water activities, along with basketball, baseball, and tennis. Campers use ropes courses with low and high elements, a rock wall, and a zipline, and they also have access to a nature and science center, craft shelters, and an indoor horseback riding arena. The program includes co-ed overnight and day camp experiences that focus on learning by doing through 4-H educational programs and takes place in a setting that includes a 40-acre working farm with animals, flowers, and vegetables.

• Schedule: Open House Tours on Sunday, May 17, 2026, and Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with tours leaving every hour on the hour
Dorothy P. Flint 4-H Camp was founded in 1924 by Dorothy P. Flint, relocated to Wildwood State Park in 1928, and has expanded from 40 acres to 140 acres, and is described as the oldest 4-H camp in New York State. The camp is grounded in the mission of Cornell Cooperative Extensions to enable people to improve their lives and communities through partnerships that put experience and research knowledge to work. It is accredited by the American Camp Association and licensed by the Suffolk County Department of Health. The camp hosts Community Clean Up Days where all are welcome to lend a hand to get camp ready for the summer, with minors required to have an adult with them.
