East End Arts School of the Arts

East End Arts School of the Arts offers group instruction in visual arts, music, and writing, as well as private visual art and music lessons. The program includes group visual art and music programs for all ages, along with opportunities to record, mix, and master music, audiobooks, podcasts, or film. Participants can also take part in gallery exhibition and fine art exhibitions, and attend community events such as art openings, talks, and concerts.

East End Arts & Humanities Council states that its mission is to unite and enrich communities of Eastern Long Island through gallery exhibition, art and music education, opportunity, and events. It is the third oldest art organization on Eastern Long Island. The organization describes itself as a gathering place for artists and those who love art, and as a cultural engine at the nexus of the two Forks of Long Island that enhances local community, tourism, collaboration, and artist initiatives. It notes that it embraces being in an up-and-coming area and acts as a catalyst for economic and cultural revitalization in Downtown Riverhead while working to build the historic Arts District of the East End. Each year, 22 gallery shows in multiple locations showcase community talent and provide presenting opportunities for roughly 800 artists in all disciplines, and 15 events highlight the region’s multi-disciplinary artistic background. Education, presentation, and community initiatives focus on local artists and musicians, and Arts For ALL educational programs are described as designed for all abilities. The organization states that its location between the North and South Fork allows it to connect and empower artists throughout the East End, and that it collaborates with local businesses, nonprofits, schools, civic groups, and government. It notes that visitors should use the main entrance on the courtyard on West 2nd Street, with parking available on the street or in the town hall lot.
