The Art Studio offers Kids & Tweens Camp, Kids After-4PM, Tweens & Teens After-4PM, Fashion & Sewing, Kids Weekly Art Classes, Tweens & Teens Weekly Art Classes, and birthday parties for kids. The program also runs Family Night events, Adult Evenings, Weekly Art Classes, Workshops & Programs for adults, Paint & Sip sessions, and private events for any kind of group. The studio lists Summer 2026 Camp & Workshops and adults year-round programs among its offerings.

The Art Studio’s mission is to provide an inspiring space where students of all levels can explore their creativity both inside and outside the lines, balancing fundamental technique and historical context with creative freedom, and focusing on art, self-expression, and local community connection. The program describes itself as a space to create connecting art, education and community for kids, tweens, teens, and adults.
The Art Studio is owned by Danielle Barbaro, who is also the curriculum writer and a lead instructor and who took on ownership in March 2022. Danielle received a Bachelor’s in Fine Art and a Master’s in Art & Design Education, with a minor in Art History. Meghan Taylor is the Studio Coordinator and has been working at The Art Studio since February 2026; she earned her BFA in Studio Art from SUNY Geneseo, studied graphic design at Hunter College, and continued painting at The Art League of Alexandria and the Art Students League in NYC. Angelica Zampini, one of the lead instructors since January 2023, holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Molloy University with double minors in art therapy and child life. Lead instructor Chloe Veg, who joined in March 2024, earned a bachelor’s degree in Art from LIU Post and is working toward a master’s in Art Education. Fashion and sewing teacher Stephanie Battista, who has been a lead fashion and sewing teacher since July 2022, has a BFA in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Fashion and sewing teacher Erma Wyse has been one of the studio’s lead fashion and sewing teachers since September 2024. Chris Ortiz has been the Digital Art teacher since April 2025, and Tierney O’Brien has been working at The Art Studio since January 2026. Roger Beckles is listed by the studio In Memoriam.
The Art Studio is a co-organizer of the Art Walk RVC and the founder of the Wonder Wall Holiday Art Fair. It serves families across Rockville Centre, Oceanside, Baldwin, Lynbrook, Valley Stream, and surrounding Long Island communities. The Art Studio has been recognized as LI Choice Best Art School from 2022 through 2025 and notes that it has been voted Long Island Choice’s Best Art School.
