About

Saratoga Arts Education Programs take place in a community arts center that includes multiple studio-style classroom spaces, a dedicated printshop, rehearsal and music studios, a gallery and exhibition space, a black box theater for film, music, theater, and special events, and a gift shop. The programs are home to arts education for both kids and adults and use these different spaces for classes and activities.

• Schedule: Gallery open Wednesday–Saturday with varying hours; staff office hours Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Saratoga Arts’ first Executive Director, Delores “Dee” Sarno, championed the founding of the Saratoga County Arts Council in 1986 and led the organization for 21 years. Saratoga Arts established a permanent home in the former Saratoga Springs Public Library in 1996 and raised $550,000 over four years for a capital campaign that created gallery spaces, offices, classrooms, and a 100+ seat black box theater. The current leadership team includes Executive Director Amy Bloom, Assistant Director Theresa Dickenson, Grants and Community Outreach Coordinator Spencer Sherry, and Exhibitions and Marketing Coordinator Ally DeRusso. The mission of Saratoga Arts is to enrich the region by cultivating a vibrant and welcoming arts community, nurturing artists at every stage and across all disciplines, and encouraging public access to a full range of the arts. Saratoga Arts works with other regional organizations, business groups, and governmental agencies toward a shared vision that recognizes the role of the arts in personal enrichment and community development.
