Family YMCA at Tarrytown Youth Programs include events and activities such as Y Healthy Kids Day, the Rotary Rubber Duck Derby, rides, games, and other activities. The programs also include the Y Early Learning Center, school-age care, enrichment programs, virtual fitness programs, Y Dance programs, Y Cheer programs, At-Home Workouts, and Virtual Classes.
• Schedule: The 18th annual Y Healthy Kids Day and Rotary Rubber Duck Derby is scheduled for Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, from 11 am to 3 pm, and the 19th annual Y Healthy Kids Day and Rotary Rubber Duck Derby is scheduled for Saturday, May 2nd from 11 am to 3 pm.
• Price: Bracelets for children 2 and up for the Y Healthy Kids Day and Rotary Rubber Duck Derby event are $10.
Since its inception in 1903, The Family YMCA at Tarrytown has been serving the community. The organization is described as a non-profit, mission-driven association of people joined by a commitment to nurturing the potential of youth, promoting healthy living, and fostering social responsibility, and it welcomes everyone regardless of ability to pay. It is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit social services organization dedicated to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Family YMCA at Tarrytown offers early childcare, school-age care, enrichment programs, and virtual fitness programs regardless of the ability to pay, and its financial assistance program is 100% funded by donations from supporters, staff, and community members.
School-age programs are available to TUFSD students, with pre-school and kindergarten after-school care available at John Paulding and grades 1–5 care provided by the Y's School-Age SACC program at Morse Elementary School. Briarcliff Manor Union Free School District students receive care at Todd Elementary School. The Y offers Y Dance and Cheer programs for children and youth, and fitness programming continues virtually through At-Home Workouts and Virtual Classes.
The leadership team includes Melissa Weaver, Senior Director of Operations; Lesa Dalton, Senior Director of Administration; Mary Saad, Childcare Director; Diane McCarthy, School Age Director; and Cindy Guzman, Y Dance Director. The Family YMCA at Tarrytown is described as a powerful association of men, women, and children of all ages and from all walks of life joined together by a shared passion to strengthen the foundations of community.
