Community Art Classes takes place at Munson and the Pratt Munson Museum. The program is connected to Munson’s work in its Museum galleries, education, and the performing arts, as well as collaborations with others.

• Schedule: Pratt Munson Museum hours are Tuesday–Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from noon to 5 pm, and it is closed on Monday.

Munson’s mission is to create transformational arts experiences that cultivate curiosity and creativity which enlighten, educate, and inspire. Munson is a steward of a cultural resource that it enriches and preserves, and it connects people with the arts to enrich lives, encourage creativity, and enhance cultural understanding. Munson continues to serve as the cultural heart of Utica while reaching audiences beyond the immediate area and assuming a leadership role in the arts. Munson staff and faculty serve the public in a welcoming and inclusive manner through arts-based experiences in Museum galleries, education, the performing arts, and collaborations. Munson is a community-centered organization that, through its actions, fosters a sense of belonging for everyone to participate. Munson’s programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
