Bettinelli's Community Boxing Academy (BCBA)

Bettinelli's Community Boxing Academy (BCBA) offers Youth Empowerment Programs / D.R.I.F.T. Youth Boxing Program for ages 9 through 17, along with Olympic Style Amateur Boxing, JUDO, Muay Thai, Martial Arts and Self Defense programs, fitness classes, personal boxing training, personal training, Get Fit Not Hit circuit workout, Fighting for Fitness private training sessions, and pad work. Fighting for Fitness private training sessions are priced at $45 for youth for 1 session or $400 for 10, and $60 for adults for 1 session or $500 for 10; pad work is $10 and includes 5 two-minute rounds.

About the provider

BCBA was established in 2004 and has served the greater Long Island, NY community since then. Ray Bettinelli is the Head Boxing Coach and Director, and BCBA has a certified staff of boxing coaches, martial arts instructors, and mentors. BCBA is devoted to providing quality sport and fitness programs to youth, Veterans, and residents, and it makes space available to fellow nonprofits, community leaders, and other outreach programs whose objectives are designed to educate, motivate, or inspire.

• Basic Gym Membership — 18 and over · $75 per month · Active Police, Fire, EMT, Military, & Nurses pay $60.

Youth Empowerment programs are intended to help at risk kids 9 thru 17. BCBA enforces a strict '3 Standing 8 Counts and You're Out' policy. Missing a scheduled class, using foul language, stealing, disrupting class, not returning gear, disobedience, forgetting BCBA T-shirt, and disrespect are listed as offenses. Smoking, drinking alcohol, using drugs, gang participation, destruction of property, stealing, bullying, and conduct unbecoming of a BCBA student can result in immediate expulsion.
