About

Children’s Theatre Workshop offers a late-summer workshop with a hands-on instructional emphasis. The program takes place under the umbrella of Aurora Community Theatre’s regular activities, which include plays and musicals produced throughout the year.

• Schedule: A Children’s Theatre Workshop is offered during the late summer.

Aurora Community Theatre (ACT) presents four shows per year in the fall, winter, spring, and summer, and a typical season includes two plays and two musicals. Leadership at ACT includes Bob Maddox (Director of I Hate Hamlet), Nicole Lucas (Director of Disaster!), Chris Bizub (Director of God of Carnage), and Brooke Hamilton (Director of The Drowsy Chaperone). The philosophy of ACT entails respect for the individual, willing cooperation of all involved, and a striving for excellence. ACT is a non-profit organization, carries a minimum bank balance to cover unexpected expenses, and has a large group of devoted volunteers, with only a few positions receiving a modest stipend.
