About
Young Explorers Montessori of Aurora offers daily activities that include yoga, dance and movement, and music. The program includes an infant program, toddler program, preschool program, pre-K program, half-day preschool, an after-school program, part time daycare, and a summer camp.

Young Explorers Montessori of Aurora has been serving families since 2002, beginning in a century home with 12 students and six staff members, and expanding a year later to triple its size and add an indoor gym. It is the first Young Explorers school and uses the BeeCurious proprietary curriculum framework, which was developed with current research in early childhood pedagogy. The program includes the Heart & Mind© Program and operates as a unique Judeo-Christian Montessori School, with an ambitious academic program that exceeds the Ohio Department of Education Academic Content Standards and uses the Montessori Method for instruction.
The center is licensed for 185 children and offers healthy meals and snacks in a completely nut-free environment. Children have access to an indoor gym, natural playgrounds, and yoga, dance, and music programs, including a yoga program that enriches the preschool curriculum, dance programs that blend solid technique with fun and creative choreography, and a music program that follows a researched, systematic approach to nurturing children’s social skills and musical development. Families can use the Connect Communication App for daily summaries, photos, direct messages, school schedules, and lesson plans and updates. The program offers a standard 10% U.S. military discount for families in active duty.
Center Director Darion Santee has over six years of experience in child care, including roles as lead teacher and assistant director at the Young Explorers Streetsboro location, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree. The leadership team also includes Area Director Joanna Kelley and Education Coach Karen Silvey, and the program notes having qualified educators.
