Kenston Community Education (KCE) was established 50 years prior to its 50-year celebration, with a Memorandum of Agreement dated March 15, 1976, and has celebrated 50 years of learning, play, and community. KCE is governed by the Auburn-Bainbridge Joint Recreation Board, which is comprised of nine members equally appointed by Auburn Township, Bainbridge Township, and Kenston Local Schools, with board members representing Kenston, Auburn, and Bainbridge. The organization states its mission as partnering in community with Auburn Township, Bainbridge Township, and Kenston Local Schools to provide recreational and enrichment opportunities for the residents of Auburn and Bainbridge Township, with a goal to provide the highest level of service, the broadest selection of programs at the most affordable prices. KCE notes that it offers a convenient Drop Box for registration and payment and uses a registration system powered by ActiveNet. The leadership team includes an Executive Director, Customer Service, Program Coordinator, Sports Coordinator, IT Specialist & Facility Scheduler, Bookkeeper, Sports Assistant, and Community Relations staff. KCE office hours are listed as Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am to 2:00pm, and Auburn-Bainbridge Joint Recreation Board meetings are scheduled quarterly on March 15, June 7, September 20, and December 13, 2026, at 5:00pm.
