Walnut Hills Early Learning YMCA

Walnut Hills Early Learning YMCA uses a research-based curriculum that exposes children to a variety of learning experiences. Teachers use individualized lesson plans and deliver the curriculum in a nurturing way. Programs include hands-on learning experiences that address each child’s cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical, and creative development. Facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday, and the facility is closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Site Director Louise Williamston leads the program. The YMCA states that effective teachers and administrators are the most important asset of a quality early childhood program and that staff are selected carefully. The mission of the program is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati has achieved the highest industry standards in abuse prevention practices. The program is involved in meeting community needs and driving change beyond the walls of the YMCA through outreach programs, fundraising, and volunteer opportunities.
