About

iSPACE Summer Camps offer weekly summer camps that include hands-on activities such as coding, chemistry, rocketry, robotics, and 3D MAKERSPACE CAMP. Campers can join themed sessions like AMUSEMENT PARK ANTICS, ROBOTS IN SPACE, BUGGIN' OUT (BLUE BOTS), THE MAGIC OF SCIENCE, SCIENTIST SCIENTIST, THREE BEARS IN SPACE, TINKERING WITH TOYS, ASTRONAUT TRAINING CHALLENGE, CO-BOTICS! (LEGO® WeDo 2.0), ENVIRONAUTS TO THE RESCUE, NATURE BOTS (LEGO® WeDo 2.0), SMART (SCIENCE MEETS ART), STOP ACTION MOVIES, and SUPER POWERING THE UNIVERSE, LEGO® STYLE. All programs are hands-on and are structured so that students become scientists, engineers, programmers, and similar roles for the time they are with iSPACE.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Weekly camps from June 1–July 31, 2026, with camp days held Monday–Friday from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Price: Registration is $355, which includes a camp T-shirt; extra T-shirts are $15, with a $50 discount for multiple camps or siblings in the same registration, a $50 referral discount, and a 2026 iSPACE Summer Camp Gift Certificate available for $355.00 USD

Campers are asked to bring a small healthy snack, a water bottle, and lunch each day, and registration is based on the grade they will be entering in the fall. All programs are taught by trained iSPACE personnel who have Education and/or STEM degrees or extensive teaching experience, and the pupil/teacher ratio is 15 students per instructor. Instructions and STEM concepts are incorporated directly into the activities to keep student downtime minimal, and iSPACE staff handle program set-up and clean-up.

For over 20 years, iSPACE has provided STEM educational programs across the Greater Cincinnati area, beginning its mission from co-founder Linda Neenan’s den in 2001. The organization’s mission is to ignite a passion for Science and Technology so that all learners are prepared to thrive in tomorrow’s workforce. iSPACE is a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit organization governed by a Board of Trustees made up of area educators, business leaders, and other individuals, and its curricula efficacy is independently certified by the University of Cincinnati ESC. The leadership team includes Sue Hare, iSPACE Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, and Linda Neenan, co-founder and retired Executive Director of iSPACE.

Programs are age/grade appropriate and align to state grade level standards, and they teach 21st Century skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and communication in addition to STEM concepts. Hands-on programs are described as “hands-on, mind-on” and experiential from start to finish, and they nurture budding astronauts, scientists, engineers, architects, or computer programmers. iSPACE offers strong support for young women in STEM and is recognized for accommodations provided to gifted and underserved students, regardless of socio-economic status, academic abilities, or physical, emotional, or behavioral limitations. A Camp Scholarship Fund exists to help students attend an iSPACE camp, with one camp scholarship available per child per summer, and camp volunteer opportunities are available for individuals aged 14 years or older.

iSPACE, in conjunction with partner Gorman Heritage Farm, offers After Camp Care for all Evendale based camps. iSPACE notes gratitude for the support of organizations listed under “iSPACE IS GRATEFUL FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE FOLLOWING ORGANIZATIONS.”

Educator and participant feedback includes comments that iSPACE field trips involve students working in pairs to create LEGO models and write computer code, that activities have been used to supplement and lead science teaching with positive impressions of 5th grade test scores, and that “Blast Off Rocketry” is a favorite field trip. Another testimonial describes the iMISSION program as giving each child a hands-on role in the mission, with instructors who were welcoming and related well to students, and notes that the experience was not something that could be duplicated at school or on students’ own time with their families.
