Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio

Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio is described as an afterschool oasis that focuses on academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character development. The program offers a safe environment with caring adult mentors and is described by many participants as a second home.

• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Club sites offer weekday daytime hours, generally between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with some locations operating slightly earlier, later, or on a shorter school-day schedule.

The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio is to focus on academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character development in a safe environment with caring adult mentors, based on the belief that kids have the best chance for success when they are given the chance to grow and learn. The organization invites community members to get involved by volunteering, attending an event, joining their team, donating, sponsoring an event, becoming a Corporate Champion, fundraising on behalf of the organization, or making a planned gift. Leadership at each Club site includes directors such as Cody Slaybaugh, Veronica Currey, Kiara Blake, Zuhail Nieves, Alex Rivera, Tamyra Saxon, Earl Ingram, Allysa Powell, Sheila Graves, Wanda McKenzie, Krista Snyder, Samuel Sanchez, Penelope Martinez, Shadikia Coleman, Gabby Perez, Marlene Valle, Jovan Osorio, Kirsten Bealer, Karen Davis, and Pheona Williams.
