Balanced Family Academy

Balanced Family Academy offers child care and preschool that includes physical activities and weekly classes brought in by local businesses. Children use multi-purpose rooms for movement and play, and take part in classes provided by these community partners. The program includes all-inclusive care that covers diapers, wipes, and extracurriculars, and serves families across Central Ohio with a focus on whole-child, play-based early learning and wholesome food for the entire family.

Balanced Family Academy has been serving Columbus, Ohio since 2014 and has been trusted for more than a decade, with its vision, called the BFA difference, established in 2013 and continuing today. The program offers individualized care with low teacher-to-child ratios, a menu with a variety of fresh, wholesome options for kids each day, and a community of families focused on providing the best for their family. Its mission statement is “Every Child.Every Family. Every Teacher. Every Day.” The leadership team includes founders and owners Becca, Sarah, and Katie.

BFA schools are rooted in the communities they serve, partnering with local businesses to bring in a variety of classes each week and coordinating fun events for families outside of school hours. One parent shared that the facilities are great and that the activities keep their child active, engaged, and learning all day. Another parent described BFA as a second family, noting that teachers are warm and nurturing and that administrative staff know how their child’s day went. Additional parents reported that staff know families by name, give a personal touch, and coordinate fun events that their child looks forward to.
