• Ages: 7–12 years old
• Schedule: Two 5-day sessions in July 2026, with half-day options Monday–Friday from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM

The camp is coed and open to any and all campers, with kids grouped by skill, age, and experience, and groups that may change during camp. Each session features a comprehensive instructional program with daily teaching progressions, personal attention, advanced teaching techniques, and small instructional groups. Safety is stated as the number one priority, and safety is prioritized over tennis and activities when necessary. The camp includes a demo program with the latest Wilson rackets, a Wilson raffle with prizes for all campers, and an all camp party on Friday with treats and prizes for everyone.

The camp is directed by Jamie Scott, Head Women’s Tennis Coach at Denison University, and co-directed by David Schilling, Head Men’s Tennis Coach at Denison University. Jamie Scott is in her eighth year as Head Women’s Tennis Coach and 11th year overall at Denison in 2024–25, with an overall record of 71–36 in her first six seasons, six straight winning seasons, two national tournament appearances, three division titles, and four NCAC Tournament Championship match appearances, including an NCAC Championship in 2022. Scott was named NCAC Coach of the Year in 2022, has produced 26 All-NCAC selections in five full seasons, has served on the ITA Division III Operating Committee for back-to-back terms starting July 2020 and August 2023, and was named ITA Central Rankings Chair in Fall 2023. She competed at the University of Wyoming from 2005 to 2009, earning 73 career wins and reaching the Mountain West Conference Tournament Quarterfinals all four years.

Camp Co-Director David Schilling is a 1989 Denison graduate and previously spent 20 years as an assistant coach at Ohio State, where the team won 14 consecutive Big Ten championships dating back to 2019 and advanced to the Division I national championship match in 2018. In 2010, Schilling was named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Region Assistant Coach of the Year, and in 2012 he coached Chase Buchanan and Blaz Rola to the NCAA Doubles Championship; in 2013, Blaz Rola won the NCAA Singles Championship. Schilling has also served as head men’s tennis coach at Kenyon College (1994–99), assistant men’s and women’s tennis coach at Denison (1992–94), and assistant men’s tennis coach at the College of Wooster (1989–92). He holds a degree in economics from Denison (1989) and a master’s in sports management from Ohio State (1994), was a five-time All-NCAC honoree, and was named to the NCAC 10th Anniversary All-Decade Team in 1993.

The camp’s stated mission notes that it offers one of the most unique tennis camp experiences in central Ohio, with two weeks of fun, learning, and skill-building and a curriculum designed around the age and ability of each camper. The program states that all efforts are made to ensure that kids are safe throughout camp. Testimonials from parents describe the coaching staff as very friendly, note that they connected well with the kids socially and with fun activities, and mention that a spread of abilities was handled well. Another testimonial states that a beginner camper learned quite a lot, liked the camp a lot, and that it was very good exercise and time well spent.

Day campers are asked to bring a tennis racket, tennis shoes, sunscreen, a hat or visor, a water bottle, and signed medical and liability forms if not completed online during registration. Each camper must have a completed and signed medical form brought to check-in on the first day of camp, and a physical exam is not required.
