About

Columbus Children’s Theatre Education Programs are part of Columbus Children’s Theatre, which offers year-round theatre education, professional-level productions featuring youth and adult performers, sensory-friendly performances, touring programs, and scenic design services. The programs include the Sandbox Series, the Spotlight Series, and the Professional Series, each with specific focuses for different audiences and participants.

• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Administrative Office Hours Monday–Friday 9am–5pm

The Sandbox Series focuses on brief, easily digestible theatre for ages 0–8 and includes Theatre for the Very Young productions with sensory play and immersion. The Spotlight Series is geared toward families and youth audiences and offers chances for young artists to work in a professional environment, hone their craft, and learn from seasoned veterans onstage. The Professional Series features professional performers, designers, and technicians, as well as the most advanced students on a variety of stages around town, and CCT produces work for audiences of all ages.

Since 1963, Columbus Children’s Theatre has been a cornerstone of youth arts education and performance in central Ohio and has grown into a nonprofit organization serving more than 85,000 individuals annually through education, performance, and outreach. Its inclusive programming serves toddlers, elementary students, and teens, and includes outreach residencies and workforce development opportunities, along with tuition assistance, subsidized tickets, and cross-sector partnerships. CCT is committed to anti-racism, equity, and accessibility and encourages people of all races, ethnicities, classes, genders, identities, abilities, sizes, ages, and experience levels to join onstage, backstage, and in the audience. CCT’s mission is to transform families through the power of the stage.

Featured faculty member Mallory Wolfe (she/her) is a Columbus-based teaching artist and performer who studied Music Education and Theater at Muskingum University and holds a dual master’s degree from New York University Steinhardt in Vocal Performance (Musical Theater) and Vocal Pedagogy. A patron after CCT’s production of Ragtime stated, “I must say, this production was... inspiring to say the least. When half the cast is tearing up at the end and there’s a standing ovation at the end of act one? You know you are onto something. excellent job everyone. I hope everyone is deservedly proud!”
