Swimming Lessons is a program offered by Columbus Recreation and Parks Department. The program offers swimming lessons taught by qualified swim lesson instructors in parent and infant, pre-K, school age, and adult groups. Lessons take place in department aquatic facilities that include eight outdoor pools and an indoor aquatics center.

• Ages: 6 months–18 years old
• Schedule: All classes are 30 minutes.
• Price: $48 Per Session for Parent and Infant (Age: 6 mo. to 3 years), Pre-K (Age: 3-5), School Age (Age: 6-14 years), and Adult (Age: 15+). Financial Assistance PLAY Scholarships are available to help cover $20 in fees.

Columbus Recreation and Parks Department was established as the City Recreation Department on July 15, 1910, and merged with the Division of Forestry and Parks on Jan. 2, 1972, to become Columbus Recreation and Parks Department. Its mission is: “We connect the people of our community through the power of nature, wellness and creativity.” The department offers a range of programs for toddlers to seniors and provides parks, programs and services that give residents a chance to improve physical and mental health, develop youth, focus on the environment, and make a positive economic impact on the city.
