About

The Goddard School of Concord Township offers activities such as American Sign Language, engineering projects, robotics, computers, handwriting, and use of an interactive whiteboard. Children participate in sports and fitness on a basketball court and in an indoor gym, as well as on playgrounds, in an outdoor classroom, and with an Imagination Playground. The program also includes dance, Yoga & Mindfulness, Kodo Kids materials, a Literacy Nook, Nutrition activities, and Cartwheel Connection.

The Goddard School of Concord Township offers an Infant program for children 6 weeks to 16 months, a First Steps program for ages 16 to 20 months, a Toddlers program for ages 18 to 30 months, a Get Set program for ages 2.5 to 3 years, a Preschool program for ages 3 to 4 years, and a Pre-K program for ages 4 to 5 years. The school uses an Air Purifying System, EPA-Approved Cleaning Products, finger guards, gate alarms, a Halo Non-Biometric Security Scanner, and outdoor security cameras, and it serves fresh fruit and vegetable snacks. The program features tenured teachers, the Wonder of Learning® education program, and a Summer Wonder program with outdoor adventures and creative projects. The stated mission is to offer an expert curriculum, experienced teachers and a nurturing environment as the start of a child's journey.

The on-site owner, Ms. Leanne, began working at The Goddard School in February 2003 as a teacher, became a Director in 2006, and became the On-Site Owner in 2021. She received her Associate of Applied Arts in May 2003, attends 15 hours or more of Ohio Step Up to Quality approved classes each year including classes offered by Goddard University, and has completed Health & Safety Courses in First-Aid, CPR, Recognition and Prevention of Communicable Diseases, and Recognition and Prevention of Child Abuse.

The Goddard School of Concord Township has received CHILD CARE AWARE® recognition from January 2020 to January 2030, a Best of the Best award from The News-Herald from January 2019 to January 2020, a Best of Painesville award from January 2016 to January 2017, and an Education Excellence Award (description truncated in the source).
