Painesville Recreation Summer Camp includes trips and activities such as Jordan Creek, Pool Day, Sky Zone Trampoline Park, Penitentiary Glen, Lake Erie College Equestrian Center, Recreation Park, the Science Center, Chapin Forest, Fairport Harbor Beach, Lake Farmpark, the Cleveland Zoo, Jordan Creek Park, Fairport Beach, Squires Castle, Clay’s Jellystone Park, and the OMG Gaming Truck. The program also includes science projects, with a special guest, Dr. Tedesco from Lake Erie College, hosting science projects during weeks 2, 4, 6, and 8. Week 1 and Week 8 of camp are completely booked for the 2026 season, and the trip schedule is subject to change due to transportation issues, weather, river levels, or health advisories.

• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: 2026 season runs June 1–July 31 with camp offered Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m., plus optional Before Care 7:30–8 a.m. and After Care 4–5 p.m.; there is no camp on June 19 or July 3.
• Price: 2026 camp fee is $165 per week for city residents/employees and $180 per week for non-residents, with a $10 weekly discount for each additional child, optional Before Care and After Care at $20 each per week, and pricing that includes all trips and two camp t-shirts.

Lunch is provided by The Lunch Box program through Painesville City Local Schools during weeks 1–9, and free lunch is provided through the PCLS Lunch Box Program. The program will accept 5-year-olds if they have completed kindergarten and can use a restroom independently. Roster spots are not reserved until payment for each week of camp is received and forms are returned to the Recreation Office, with a week’s payment due at the time of registration and remaining weeks payable on a week-by-week basis once the first week is paid. The camp is led by Recreation Supervisor Justin Gollin. Families are asked to send a water bottle, gym shoes, flip flops for pool areas, sunscreen, a hat, a swimsuit, a towel, a change of clothes for water days, and a gym bag or backpack with labeled belongings, and to avoid sending weapons or dangerous items, toys, electronic devices such as phones and tablets, valuables including jewelry, and any medications not kept in their original containers.
