Camp Invention is led by qualified local educators, and its education programs are created in collaboration with National Inventors Hall of Fame Inductees. The program has been honoring the spirit of innovation and promoting inventors as role models since 1973. To fulfill its mission of making STEM education accessible and promoting innovation across the country, the education team develops new program curricula each year with these Inductees. Over the past year, Camp Invention has partnered with over 1,400 districts nationwide and in Puerto Rico and has 2,144 philanthropic partners, and it was founded and is supported in partnership with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The leadership team includes Rachelle Albrechta, Jayme Cellitioci, Ashley Giordano, Susie Duchon, Rachel Lutes, Emily Mitchell, Sara Pompeo, Maggie Saine and Jennifer Sitton.

Parent and caregiver feedback includes comments that children came home beaming with excitement and eager to share what they were learning, and that some families are already signing up for next year. Several parents and grandparents report that their children gained knowledge, made friends, enjoyed hands-on creative play and were excited to bring inventions home and teach siblings. Some parents describe Camp Invention as a highlight of their summer, note that their children wanted to attend each day and were never bored, and share that their children’s curiosity, imagination and interest in inventing things increased during the program.
