The Nest Schools – Solon offers nurturing, play-based programs backed by the latest research in early childhood education. Children use outdoor classrooms and play spaces that include playgrounds with plants, natural elements, exciting play themes, and physical challenges. The program uses the Nest Play curriculum, which incorporates current research in early development and provides a balance of academic skill-building and social-emotional development.

Programs at The Nest Schools – Solon include the Infant program (Hummingbirds), Young Toddler program (Ducklings), Older Toddler program (Cardinals), Preschool program (Penguins), Pre-K program (Robins), and a Pre-K Masters program (Parrots) for children who need a third year of preschool. The school also offers a full-time, private kindergarten program and a School Age program (Pelicans) with before and after school care. Private kindergarten programs use a mix of requirements from the Department of Education alongside the Nest Play curriculum. Kiera Wing is certified in CPR, First Aid, Epi-Pen Administration, and Medication Administration and holds a Bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language. Jessica Gresco holds a Bachelor of Science in Special Education (K–12). Kylie Kukul has a BA in Child and Family Development from The University of Akron and a Master of Public Health from Kent State University.

The Nest Schools – Solon offers before and after school care for Lewis Elementary, Parkside Elementary, Roxbury Elementary, Solon City District Elementary Schools, and Orchard Middle School. The program’s mission is to build trusting relationships with families and provide safe and nurturing environments where children grow with joy and develop a lifelong love of learning.
